This gorgeous wedding in Southern California had the right amount of flowers, greenery, and lace to be a perfect day.
The details of the Descanso Gardens venue were impeccable.
The wedding colors were a mellow gray for the bridesmaids and teal blue suits for the groomsmen. The bouquets were hand-assembled by the wedding party with flower-market eucalyptus.
The ceremony was peaceful and officiated by a friend of the bride and groom.
I whisked the bride and groom away for some newlywed portraits as cocktail hour was being assembled.
But you know the groom's a keeper when he sneaks some macaroni ball hors d'oeuvres while his bride is taking her portraits.
Back to love. My absolute favorite part of shooting at Descanso Gardens was the light in the evening time. The gardens come alive with a soft glow, and it made for incredibly romantic portraits.
And would it really be a wedding if you didn't play YMCA and get drenched in dance sweat? I don't think so.
